EarlyBird256 participates in the Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R) initiative

One of the things that we Earlybird256 squad members have in common is our love for reading. Whether it's a newspaper or a book, we enjoy immersing ourselves in stories and information, especially with a hot drink by our side and a view of the water.

This passion for reading is also shared by the students in the schools that we support. Many of them aspire to be journalists and write their own stories. That's why we are working hard to create a space where they can access more books and knowledge, inspired by the Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R) initiative.

Our teachers have been dedicating 20 minutes every day during the term for our students to read a newspaper and learn about the world. We have created a space where they can come and learn about what is happening in the world and in their communities. They can explore topics that interest them, discover new perspectives, and develop their skills and confidence. Our space is not just a place to study, but also a place to connect, collaborate, and have fun. We want our students to feel inspired, motivated, and supported by us and by each other. We are proud of what they have achieved so far and we look forward to seeing them grow and thrive in the future.

We hope that soon they will be able to borrow books and read them at their own pace and place. We believe that knowledge is power and that is why we are passionate about empowering students. Please consider donating to EarlyBird256 to help us make this dream come true
